What's new for Skins 5?


You’ll see a shift in the style of music from series 4 to series 5. I use the word “see” rather than “hear” because - and I feel I can share this with you now - I have recently developed the power to SEE as well as hear music, I’ve transcended melody and now exist on a higher harmonious plane and these blogs will be my magnum opus. I’m kind of like Prince. Not really, it’s just bad grammar. But seriously there is some amazing new music to listen out for in the show this year, a lot of stuff that’s certainly broadened my musical spectrum. So make sure you block book your diaries, THURSDAY 10PM.


I’ll be writing on the E4 website a lot again this year which will be fun for those who enjoy listening to me. It’ll probably be like reading Pitchfork or NME for those of you who don’t. Also if you want to offer up your suggestions or share your recent musical highlights, I’m a twitter twat and I’m always listening to recommendations people send me on there, don’t keep your unearthed musical gems to yourself, my twitter’s http://twitter.com/KyleLynd, so let me know what your listening to and in exchange I’ll do the same.
