"There have been a few news sources lately who have published articles about Kaya reprising her role as Effy for the Skins movie. I got in contact with her reps, and here is what they had to say:
At this stage there has been no confirmation that Skins The Movie will actually be made so until that happens we would be unable to say whether Kaya was to be involved in the project or not.
At the moment she is very much concentrating on filming Wuthering Heights."

According to this, later this month, they will start filming the SKINS MOVIE
"SKINS, the sex, drink and drug-fuelled television serial that represents teenage life laid bare is to journey to the silver screen!
Scripted by Skins writer Jack Thorne and Skins creator Bryan Elsley, the film is scheduled to go into production later this month after open auditions were held nationwide.
This news follows four hugely successful seasons on E4; the latest of these finishing with the highest ratings of any series so far.
Director of Company, Charlie Pattinson, believes that bringing a film version to the big screen is the obvious next step for this franchise;
“Given the huge amount of support from the ever expanding fan base of the series, we feel that we can go much further and produce yet another unique Skins experience”
A number of familiar faces from the four series are expected to feature in the film, shooting in Bristol and the Isle of Man this year. It’s been said that the film version will be based around the second generation but will have appearances from the first and also the third generation cast.
According to sources, original cast members Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire) and Nicholas Hoult (Clash of the Titans, A Single Man) have agreed to reprise their roles for a movie version and Kaya Scodelario has signed back on as tear away Effy Stonem; the only cast member who has featured in all of the series so far.
No news has been heard regarding the fate of other fan favourites."

Dev Patel " You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger " gala
Dev Patel attended to one event yesterday with his girlfriend Freida. They arrive at the gala presentation for the film "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger" at the 35th Toronto International Film Festival September 12, 2010.
One person in twitter (a publicist that was at the gala too) said this about the Skins Movie and Dev Patel:
"Dev Patel--officially the cutest thing ever. We grilled him about the Skins movie and he gave us the inside scoop--he'll do it if Hoult's in"
So this means that nothing is confirmed yet, right?

COMPANY PICTURES, STORMDOG FILMS, FILM4 AND CINEMANX DEVELOPING MOVIE OF CULT E4 SERIES, SKINS
Producers Company Pictures and Stormdog Films, feature film financiers and distributors CinemaNX, and Film4 have today announced that they are jointly developing a feature film version of the E4 hit television series, SKINS.
Scripted by SKINS writer Jack Thorne, working closely with SKINS creator Bryan Elsley, the film is scheduled to go into production later this year, and follows four hugely successful seasons on E4. The latest of these has just finished its run, with the highest ratings of any series so far.
Director of Company, Charlie Pattinson, believes that bringing a film version to the big screen is the obvious next step for SKINS – “given the huge amount of support from the ever expanding fan base of the series, we feel that we can go much further and produce yet another unique SKINS experience”, remarked Pattinson.
A number of familiar characters from the four series are expected to feature in the film, which will be directed by long time SKINS director Charles Martin and produced by long time SKINS producer Chris Clough. Shooting in Bristol and the Isle of Man later this year, the film is scheduled for a summer 2011 release.
Company Pictures have a long history of working with both Film4 and CinemaNX individually but this project will be the first collaboration between all three parties.
“The sheer depth in quality that SKINS has delivered over the years makes it perfect for the big screen and we are delighted to be back in business with Company,” said chairman of CinemaNX, Steve Christian.
Tessa Ross, Controller of Film4 and Channel 4 Drama, said: "It is very exciting to be migrating across from E4 to Film4, this extraordinarily talented team from SKINS, who have successfully grown such a wonderfully loyal audience over the course of the last four series."
