Here is a article about Joe Dempsie and his next series A Game Of Thrones."A LIVERPOOL actor has won a part in a hotly-anticipated TV show alongside movie stars Sean Bean and Charles Dance.
Former Skins actor Joe Dempsie, 23, will take part in the new HBO fantasy series A Game Of Thrones.
Joe, who was born at Oxford Street hospital and spent his early life in the Newsham Park area, is most famous as Chris Miles from the first two series of Skins.
But that will change from next year when he takes on the role of Gendry, a young blacksmith who could unite or destroy the fictional “seven kingdoms”.
But with millions of fans of the best-selling books it is based on waiting eagerly for the results, Joe, who still has family living in Crosby and south Liverpool, admitted to being nervous.
He said: “The fans are rabid waiting for this and they know exactly how they want their characters to look.
“Gendry is described as being tall and muscled, with thick black hair. I am hoping I can live up to two of those because I am only 5ft 8in!
“I am not really a gym person, but this has certainly got me going more often.”
Joe, who played ex-Everton FC striker Duncan McKenzie in football biopic The Damned United, will also star with The Wire’s Aiden Gilen and 300’s Lena Heady.
He said: “I hope to learn a lot from them, not only in acting terms but in how to act off camera.
“I am also looking forward to being part of something which is already so popular and so many people love.”
