Nicholas Hoult at the BAFTAs

Ok, so unfortunately Nicholas Hoult, our Tony in Skins, wasn´t the winner of the award for the rising star!

The winner (of course) was for Kristen Stewart!

Nicholas Hoult - the night of the BAFTA

As you already know, Nicholas Hoult is one of the nominees for the BAFTA in the category of rising star.

And tonight is the big night! We will finally know if Nicholas will be the winner of this award. The ceremony will start at 6:00pm (London time) with the red carpet!

Nicholas Hoult nominee for the Orange BAFTA

Nicholas Hoult is growing so much as an actor... and now he was recognized for that because he is one of the nominees for the Orange BAFTA Rising Star Award.

"The Orange Rising Star Award recognises five international actors and actresses who have demonstrated exceptional talent and have begun to capture the imagination of the public as a star in the making."

This morning the nominees came up, and Nicholas is between names like Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, Carey Mulligan and Tahar Rahim.

Dev Patel nos BAFTA/LA Britannia Awards

Desde que fez Skins Dev nunca mais parou, e com o êxito que teve no seu filme Slumdog Millionaire os prémios têm sido uma realidade na vida de Dev.

Dev foi nomeado no ano passado para um prémio BAFTA e este ano ele e a namorada Freida Pinto foram a este evento em Los Angels para dar apoio ao director de Slumdog Millionaire, Danny Boyle.

Danny ainda deu uma palavrinha sobre o casal, afirmando:

"Eles parecem mesmo ser almas gémeas..."

Relembro que o Dev tem apenas 19 anos e que já é uma estrela em Hollywood. E pensar que tudo começou com Skins...

E para que não restem dúvidas...

Skins já foi reconhecido pelo seu sucesso! O BAFTA (british academy of film and television arts) atribuiu este ano, em Abril, um prémio à nossa Série ( o Philips audience award), o único votado pelo público!

Há que saber que o BAFTA no reino unido corresponde aos Emmys nos estados unidos.
