For the fans of Kathryn, there you go:"British independent movie studio Pure Film Productions is set to make an “urban horror” movie titled Lethal. Throughout the week, they plan to announce casting news for the film. The first bit of news came today, though, as Pure Film has announced Kathryn Prescott will be joining the project and cast members Jay Brown, Red Madrell and Fredi ‘Kruga’ Nwaka.
Kathryn Prescott is best known for her role as Emily Fitch in the British TV drama series Skins. Danny Donnelly wrote the screenplay and is producing Lethal. Darcia Martin is set to direct. Darcia has directed many primetime TV drama shows including Judge John Deed, Casualty and Doctors.
Lethal is the story of a young man, Mikey (played by Jay Brown), who seeks to fit in with the crowd after moving to a new neighborhood. Upon finding a new set of friends, Mikey is challenged to spend one night alone in the notorious crime-ridden and dangerous Highfield Estate, all as a part of an initiation process. He willingly accepts, but neither his friends nor Mikey could be prepared for what then lies in store.
Lethal is intended to be the first part of a trilogy. The second film will pick up with the aftermath of the first movie, while the third is set to be a prequel outlining the origins of all the bloody violence.
Pure Films will also be partnering with the music arm of the company, Pure Music, to deliver a dynamic soundtrack for the movie. Serving as music consultant on Lethal is legendary BBC Radio 1 broadcaster Annie Nightingale. Annie has chosen renowned production group Drumsound & Bassline Smith to score the soundtrack.
Also joining the crew are specialist make up and effects artist Sammm Agnew and cinematographer Allen Della-Valle. Band of Brothers‘ John Adams will also be joining the project as line producer.
Lethal is set to release in 2011."
