Elliott Tittensor (kaya´s boyfriend) arrested

"Shameless actor Elliott Tittensor has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly running down an 18-year-old man with his car.

The 20-year-old actor, who plays Carl Gallagher in the Channel 4 series, is alleged to have deliberately struck the teenager before driving off in his BMW Z4 without stopping.

Tittensor gave himself up to police a little over an hour after the incident and is said to have passed a breath test.

A police spokesman confirmed that Tittensor had been arrested over the incident but no charges had been made.

The spokesman added that the actor had been bailed until mid-September pending a police investigation.

The crash happened at 2am yesterday when Tittensor and his girlfriend Kaya Scodelario, who plays Effy Stonem in the E4 TV series Skins, were on their way to a McDonalds.

Trouble started when the unnamed 18-year-old recognised Tittensor and tried to start a conversation with him - following him from inside the fast food outlet and out onto the street.

The teenager then allegedly stood in front of Tittensor's car and would not get out of the way.

A police source said: 'Tittensor apparently deliberately drove his car straight at him.

'Though he was only driving slowly, the boy went up on the bonnet, rolled into the road and struck his head on the kerb.'

It is alleged that Tittensor and Scodalerio, knowing that the collision had taken place, then drove away from the scene.

The victim was taken to the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead suffering head injuries and bruising, and initial reports suggested that the collision may have left him blind.

But the police spokesman would only confirm that the 18-year-old was in a serious but stable condition.

Scodelario had not been arrested over the incident, the spokesman added, but would be a key witness in the investigation.

Tittensor's breakthrough role in television came when he starred in Brookside with his twin brother Luke.

In April, Luke admitted at Bolton Crown Court to fracturing the jaw of a 16-year-old boy in a brawl in Rochdale. He was given a nine-month suspended sentence for two years."
